Being a wedding officiant is an enormous honor, and I am privileged to be able to provide this service. To be present and central to some of the most important events of peoples' lives is a responsibility that I do not take lightly, and I aim to do this with dignity, empathy, warmth and humor. London, Ontario has been my home all my life, and I have worked, raised a family, made friends and volunteered here. Being part of a thriving community is important to me, and I believe in engaging in and contributing to that community. I went to Catholic Central High School and then to the University of Western Ontario, where I got my degree in Political Science and History. After my post-secondary education, I followed my passion for creativity and building relationships and became a hairdresser. As a hairdresser for over 35 years, I've learned how to listen, empathize, problem solve, and deliver personal, reliable service. My husband and I have successfully owned and run our own hair salon for almost 4 decades. Rituals are important to people, and I believe everyone should have the freedom to celebrate the most meaningful occasions of their lives the way they want to. I am proud to be able to offer people the choice of a Humanist ceremony for their life's most important moments. |
